We are the Southend Ju Jitsu Club (SOS JUJITSU).
We welcome new visitors to both our web site or our club. We are a friendly club welcoming all who wish to train.
The Club was founded by Sensei Alan Stone and is now run by Sensei Gino Muscat 2nd Dan and Sensei David Patterson 1st Dan.
We both have enhanced CRB checks and are both qualified first Aiders.

We are are also very lucky to have the experience of Sensei John Middleton (4th Dan) and Sensei Kevin Hutchin's (2nd Dan)

We are members of the Jikshin Ju Jitsu association under the patronage of Sensei Brian Herbert.

Jikishin Nationals 2008

S.o.S Ju Jitsu (or Southend Ju Jitsu – part of Jikishin Ju Jitsu), took part in the Jikishin Ju Jitsu associations 18th National Championships held at Southend Leisure and Tennis – Garons Park on Saturday, 24/10/08. The club is run by Gino Muscat and Dave Patterson. Club members took part in the course where senior instructors from across the association come to pass on techniques and valuable learning for students.

The course (attended by some 300 entrants), held in the morning, was followed by a national competition in the afternoon, where entrants come from across the country and Belgium and compete in a number of categories (Random Attacks, Ground Fighting, Sparring, Kata and Pairs Demo’s).

S.o.S. Ju Jitsu had entrants in the first three categories and took an impressive 9 medals across the board, as follows;

Senior Members: Paul Donovan (Senior Sparring – Silver)
Simon Kirkpatrick (Senior Ground Fighting - Silver)

Junior Members: Charles Farrelly (Bronze in Random Attacks)
Michael Watkins (Bronze in Ground Fighting)
Ryan Trowers (Gold in Random Attacks)
Jamie Waller (Silver in Random Attacks, Bronze in Ground Fighting)
Jareth Smith (Silver in Ground Fighting)
Megan Smith (Bronze in Ground Fighting)

Well done to Charles Farrelly for being recognized as Junior student of the year for the club for 2007.
